DEERS ON LAKE – Austria's AC/DC cover band. ‘Better than the original,’ is something you often hear from people who've been to their shows. But the DEERS don't really take that seriously: the original is the original and simply unbeatable! 

‘You have to see them! Definitely!’ say other concert-goers. 

Self-praise stinks, they say... but these words don't come from the DEERS, but from their esteemed audience. And if you know your strengths, you can, or rather must, mention them. 

DEERS ON LAKE are clearly the No. 1 in Austria in terms of show and sound, and certainly among the top 3 AC/DC cover bands in neighbouring countries. 

The band's shows have already been seen in Austria, Germany and Italy. DEERS ON LAKE – the rock deer from Grabensee. Coming from the border region between Upper Austria, Salzburg and Bavaria. 

A show to kneel down to. Or rather, headbang to without end. The sound is absolutely thunderous, the performance completely captivates the audience. And the atmosphere at DEERS ON LAKE performances is absolutely electric. Every single time. 

Their Angus double, Max Gruber Fischnaller, an actor known from theatre and television (he is currently filming for SOKO Donau), delivers such an energetic show with his AC/DC performance that people are close to freaking out. 

The school uniform is part of every performance. It comes in many different colours in the band room, and the choice depends on the mood. Of course, the usual Angus Young strip is obligatory and can be seen in every show. Max does this with incredible joy. If he's not allowed to stick his bum out at a show, he's probably almost offended... 

Walter Schinagl ‘Schini’, Brian Johnson and Bon Scott rolled into one, belts out the songs and sounds of AC/DC tracks with a powerful voice that is second to none. What sets Walter apart is his ability to completely involve the audience in the show. With this very intense connection, the audience dances and celebrates, completely incredulous at what is happening, as a direct part of the show. Right in the middle of it instead of just watching! 

A well-known sound engineer from Vienna, who has mixed Phil Rudd, drummer of AC/DC on his solo tour, Iggy Popp and other famous names from the rock and pop business, recently said: ‘The DEERS ON LAKE show is so extraordinary and thrilling, I've never experienced anything like it before.’ 

He has become a big fan and says that when Max and Walter do their thing, it's simply a joy to be there and witness this extraordinary piece of ‘rock theatre’ in a class of its own. 

The rhythm section, with its unstoppable and penetrating sound, consists of Alex Scharf ‘Spicy’, á la Phil Rudd, on drums, Otmar Hauer ‘Das Ö’ as Cliff Williams on bass and our head forester Fredi Oitner on rhythm guitar, who, just like Malcom in the original, keeps a firm grip on the reins. 

It is very clear that DEERS ON LAKE play because they have a lot of fun and enjoy it immensely. People can feel that. Without a doubt.
